Last Sunday was the first race in the Toyota Cup Series: the Nautica South Beach Triathlon.  I went there with intentions of setting myself up well for the rest of the season with a good start to the series.  The day didn't unfold as planned, unfortunately.  But I will begin with a positive:  No cramps!  Miami is obviously hot and humid and I was able to race there without any cramping issues like those I experienced in Costa Rica two weeks prior.  That is at least one problem solved.  I'm still not sure what caused my sub-par performance on Sunday, though.

In my last post, I wrote about my cramping issue at the Rev3 Costa Rica event.  Well, here is what my coach and I think think went wrong.

Just tuned in to Yokohama, and have only heard commentary about Canadians so far ...but there are no Canadians in the race!!!

Ouch, what a tiring week already.... I blame the over-extended taper! I guess it's good I will be confined to a chair for most of Sunday.
